White House issues ‘wild’ response after new footage of Trump slurring sparks health fears

Another week brings another wave of speculation surrounding President Donald Trump and his supposedly ailing (or perhaps not‑so‑ailing) health.

Being the POTUS means living under constant scrutiny, and when you’re a president like Donald Trump, that spotlight only burns brighter.

With Trump quickly approaching 80, it’s no surprise that rumors about potential health issues are becoming increasingly common.

Add to that the fact that he’s been seen multiple times with large bruises on his hands, along with claims that he’s nodded off during important meetings, and you have the perfect recipe for conspiracy theories suggesting Trump is dealing with undisclosed medical problems.

Of course, none of it is confirmed, and Trump continues to appear publicly with an energy that often defies his age.

Even so, new concerns were raised after a speech he delivered at the White House’s “Champion of Coal” event on Wednesday, February 11.

The event featured Trump signing an executive order directing the Department of War to purchase coal power. In typical fashion for the current administration, Trump was quickly dubbed the “undisputed champion of beautiful clean coal” and even received a trophy for… signing the paperwork.

After accepting his award, Trump addressed the audience, saying: “I’m thrilled to welcome to the White House the men and women who light our cities. You know, you do things that people don’t even understand.

“You heat our homes, fuel our factories, and turn natural resources into American riches and dreams. Our amazing coal miners.”

Later in his remarks, however, Trump appeared to slur his words, prompting online reactions. “My grandpa had dementia — in the early stages he would talk exactly like this and then try to distract,” one person wrote.

“Trump’s brain completely malfunctions on live TV… as his speech devolves into total gibberish: ‘I’m proud to officially name the… undishpu… the… jshhhh… whendidthiscomeoutechr!’ Stroke? If this was your Grandpa — wouldn’t you call an ambulance?” another posted on X.

A third added: “Trump’s slurring his words. Nothing to see here — keep calm and carry on.”

The White House responded almost immediately, with spokesperson Davis Ingle telling The Daily Beast:

“President Trump is the sharpest, most accessible, and energetic president in American history.

“While the deranged and failing Daily Beast has their lightweight, glue‑sniffing interns push baseless conspiracy theories — President Trump spent the day unleashing energy dominance, lowering costs, and putting the American people first.”

The public quickly weighed in on Ingle’s comments.

One Reddit user wrote: “It’s insane to me that anyone would read this and think ‘yeah this country is in the best place it’s ever been,’” calling the White House response “wild.”

Another said: “Is this real???? Holy f*king sht.”
