Donald Trump did not attend his son Donald Jr.’s small wedding celebration, and Barron Trump was also absent. An insider now claims the absences could seriously impact the Trump family amid growing tensions.
Donald Trump Jr. and Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson held their wedding celebration on a Bahamas island last week, according to CNN. However, reports beforehand suggested that his father, President Donald Trump, would not be attending.
Only immediate family members and the couple’s closest friends attended, with fewer than 50 guests in total. Among those present were Trump’s children Eric, Ivanka, and Tiffany Trump.
On Friday, Donald Trump confirmed he would not attend his son’s wedding. On Truth Social, the president wrote: “While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon-to-be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so.”
Another person reportedly absent from the wedding was Barron Trump. According to an insider, the 19-year-old youngest son of Donald Trump was nowhere to be seen, and it is raising eyebrows.
Real reason Barron Trump missed Don Jr.’s wedding is raising eyebrows
According to journalist Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack, the absence could point to tensions within the family.
“Barron grew up in a completely different world from Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka, and Tiffany,” the insider shared. “There’s emotional distance there, and everyone in the family knows it.”
A second Trump family event in recent weeks has also fueled rumors of a growing divide within the family. Donald Trump Jr.’s eldest daughter, Kai, 19, celebrated her high school graduation surrounded by select relatives.
Her parents, Donald Jr. and Vanessa Trump, proudly attended the special occasion, while President Donald Trump was reportedly in China at the time. However, several high-profile family members were noticeably absent from the celebration, including Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump, and Jared Kushner.
Family tensions?
Now, it appears the rumored family tension may even extend to Donald Trump and Melania Trump’s only son, Barron. The significant age gap between Barron, 20, and Donald Trump Jr., 48, could be one possible reason.
Having grown up in completely different households and generations, the two have lived very different lives and likely do not have much in common. Instead, it seems Barron may share a closer connection with Kai, who is much closer to him in age and life experience.
