Iran delivers a terrifying 2‑word warning to U.S. troops amid ‘invasion’ accusations

The war in Iran is still ongoing, and an escalation of the conflict appears to be drawing closer as the Pentagon is reportedly preparing to deploy troops on the ground. Now, Iran has responded with a terrifying warning, promising to rain fire upon them.

The war in Iran has been underway for more than a month. Claims over the weekend suggest an escalation is edging closer, even though President Donald Trump has stated that the U.S. has already won.

According to U.S. officials quoted by The Washington Post, the Pentagon is preparing for a ground operation in Iran. However, it would be limited to raids by special operations forces and infantry troops, not a full‑scale invasion.

Troops could be involved in potential coastal sites near the Strait of Hormuz, officials told the Post, as well as in raids on the strategically important Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf. Its port handles up to 90 percent of Iran’s crude oil exports.

It remains unclear whether Donald Trump would approve the Pentagon’s plans. Responding to questions about the Post’s reporting, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said, “It’s the job of the Pentagon to make preparations to give the Commander in Chief maximum optionality. It does not mean the president has made a decision.”

Iran issues warning to U.S. troops

The Trump administration has already deployed U.S. Marines to the Middle East, and plans are underway to send thousands of soldiers from the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division to the region as well.

According to Al Jazeera, on Saturday the U.S. Central Command said about 3,500 additional soldiers arrived in the Middle East aboard the USS Tripoli. While the U.S. considers deploying troops, Iran has now issued a chilling warning if that becomes reality.

On Sunday, Iran’s parliament speaker, Mohammad‑Bagher Ghalibaf, declared that Iran is ready to confront U.S. troops on the ground and would “rain fire” upon them. He also accused the Trump administration of secretly planning an attack while publicly signaling interest in negotiations.

“The enemy, openly, sends messages of negotiation and dialogue, but secretly is planning a ground attack,” Ghalibaf said.

He continued, saying the U.S. is “unaware that our men are waiting for American soldiers to enter on the ground so they can set them ablaze and punish their regional partners forever.”
