Attorney Peter Levine explained that Shiloh “made an independent and significant decision following painful events,” emphasizing that she was simply “following legal process” by making the information public.
“Shiloh Jolie did not take out an ‘ad’ announcing any name change, and any press reporting that is inaccurate,” Levine clarified to People.
“As Shiloh’s attorney, I am required to publish a legal notice because California law requires that of anyone seeking a name change. That notice was published in the Los Angeles Times, as required,” he added.

Her cameo in the K‑pop video wasn’t handed to her because of her parents. According to the Daily Mail, Shiloh has trained for years at LA’s Millennium Dance Complex, where staff reportedly didn’t realize she was the daughter of two Hollywood icons.

“Shiloh was selected in the final round and joined Dayoung’s music video. Even after filming, we had no idea she was Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s child, and only found out by chance quite recently,” the statement continued.
Fans quickly noticed Shiloh’s standout performance in the video.
