Rod Stewart poses with his seven children and newborn grandsons in rare family photo — see the rock star’s family

Sir Rod Stewart is many things: a rock legend, a sex symbol, a knight. But at 78, Stewart is busiest being a grandpa.

The “Maggie May” singer has quite the family: he’s the father of eight children by five mothers and now a grandfather of three, after welcoming two grandchildren just days apart back in May.

Recently, fans got a rare glimpse of the entire family together when Stewart posed for a heartwarming family photo.

Stewart’s daughter Kimberly, 43, shared the photo taken while the family was gathered in Spain. Alongside Kimberly, Stewart is seen with his wife Penny Lancaster and most of his children: Sean, 42, Ruby, 36, Renee, 31, Liam, 28, Alastair, 17, and Aiden, 12.

Also pictured are Stewart’s newborn grandsons: Liam’s son Louis and Ruby’s son Otis.

Seven of Rod’s eight children are present; the only one missing is Sarah Streeter, 59, the singer’s first child, whom he placed for adoption. Though the two have reconciled after years of estrangement, she wasn’t present for this family gathering.

Also absent from the photo is his granddaughter Delilah, born in 2011 to Kimberly and actor Benicio Del Toro.

Aside from those two absences, the picture offers a rare look at Stewart’s large family.

The Stewart clan has had an exciting year, with two grandchildren born in the same week in May. Otis arrived on May 9, and Louie followed just days later on May 12.

Louie’s full name is Louie Mark Roderick Stewart, with “Roderick” honoring his famous grandfather. Rod also helped reveal Otis’s gender and reportedly sang a “custom jingle” for the baby.

A very proud granddad, Rod Stewart shared photos of himself holding the newborns on social media.
