President Donald Trump may have repeatedly doubled down on his efforts to convince people that his ties to the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein aren’t anything worth worrying about, but many remain unconvinced.
Trump’s name had long been mentioned in connection with Epstein even before the recent release of millions of files, thousands of which included the president’s name.
While it’s been stated time and again that appearing in the infamous Epstein files doesn’t confirm any wrongdoing, those whose names appear have naturally come under scrutiny since the Department of Justice released more than 3 million documents into the public sphere.
Take, for example, former prince Andrew Mountbatten‑Windsor, who was arrested in the UK on suspicion of misconduct while in public office.
Following that news, President Trump last week insisted he had been exonerated in the latest Epstein files release, claiming he had done nothing wrong.
Speaking to reporters on Air Force One, he said: “Well, you know, I’m the expert in a way, because I’ve been totally exonerated. It’s really interesting, because nobody used to speak about Epstein when he was alive, but now they speak, but I’m the one that can talk about it, because I’ve been totally exonerated. I did nothing.”

No sooner had the president’s comments been published than they were met with pushback — including from a rather unlikely source: a Fox News personality.
Fox News and criticism of Trump don’t exactly go hand in hand, but there has been a clear and growing trend of Republicans and Trump supporters voicing concerns over what they see as a failure to follow through on a promise the president repeatedly made while campaigning.
Trump vowed to release the Epstein files in full, shedding light on any mysteries being covered up and exposing those who associated with Epstein when he was a convicted pedophile.

Yet the eventual release took far longer than many had hoped, and despite Attorney General Pam Bondi’s assertion that “all” the files have been released, skeptics — including Kentucky Republican Thomas Massie — insist the public has not seen everything.
Indeed, after Trump’s comments about being “totally exonerated,” Jessica Tarlov, co‑host of The Five on Fox News, issued the president an ultimatum.
“Then release all the files,” she wrote in an X post, referring to Trump’s claim that he had nothing to hide.
