The Baby hitmaker took the stage at the 2026 Grammy Awards to perform his song Yukon, but it wasn’t his vocals or undeniable star power that immediately grabbed attention.
It’s hard for fans to focus on the finer points of a performance when the artist is standing there in nothing but boxer shorts.
That’s right — Bieber, who was nominated for no fewer than four awards this year, stripped his look down to the bare essentials, performing in just his underwear. Unsurprisingly, social media exploded.
“Why the hell is Justin Bieber performing in his UNDERPANTS at the Grammys?” one person wrote on X.
“I don’t want to see that s*** lol.”
Another added, “Justin Bieber feels this is the right cultural climate to be performing in his underpants?” The question of why the Canadian superstar chose to ditch most of his clothing became a hot topic, though the real explanation is far less scandalous than some assumed.
It turns out Bieber has been promoting his own brand for some time. It’s called Skylrk and sells everything from phone cases to jeans, sunglasses to sliders, and — yes — boxer shorts.
It doesn’t take a marketing expert to connect the dots. The boxers Bieber showcased onstage were Skylrk, reportedly resulting in a noticeable spike in sales.
Regardless, Bieber’s performance — purple guitar and all — was well received, with many fans thrilled to see him back doing what he does best after taking time off to focus on his health.
The 31‑year‑old sparked concern when he canceled his 2022 Justice World Tour for health reasons. He’s now set to perform at Coachella this year, marking his first concert since that cancellation.
